What you’ll do at Prometheus Safe & Secure

As a Bank Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or Bank Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you’ll:

  1. Play a key part in multi-disciplinary patient transfers: informal, Section 136, court orders, home pickups, and A&E observation duties.
  2. Use de-escalation or safe physical intervention when needed.
  3. Ensure vehicle and patient safety.
  4. Communicate clearly with patients, our team, and NHS colleagues.
  5. Record important details and report issues.
  6. Support a safe, caring transfer from start to finish.

Training & career progression

Career Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous patient transport experience?

Not necessarily. While experience helps, we offer full NHS-standard training to get you ready for the job.

What about physical requirements & licences?
You’ll need a full UK manual driving licence (12+ months). Some roles involve physical handling of patients, but this will all be covered in the recruitment process.
Do you operate 24/7?
Absolutely. Prometheus Safe & Secure dispatches staff 24‑hours a day, 365 days a year, with vehicles on the road within the hour of booking.
Can I do part-time or zero-hours?
Yes. We offer flexible hours, full-time, part-time, and bank roles to fit your life and schedule.
What shift patterns are available?

We operate flexible 24/7 shift patterns:

  • Early mornings (5.30am–10.30pm)
  • Nights (5.30pm–7.30am)
  • Weekends

Roles are zero-hour with day, night, part-time, or bank options available
